Ouch, snapshot of death comment. I hate those. I think it is a good picture for why, at least his expression seems to convey the thought. Most of the entries to me at least were just normal pictures with a catchy title. At least this fits.

I think candids are the hardest thing to shoot - and once shot - making them appeal to this crowd is near impossible - well, for me anyway. Also, I've noticed that voters get irritated when what the subject is looking at is out of frame. Even if the subject is a cat! So I guess you might have gotten a double-whammy for this pic. Aaah, the heck with 'em :P

Light is a little too harsh... I like the look on the subjects face.

I am not a good photographer, I do not claim to be better than anyone, any criticism is meant to be constructive criticism......

The skin tones are really lovely here - and the exposure is perfect. He almost looks like a Marsalis.
