 I signed up for a membership today (15th may) and this is my first entry into the Free Study challenge :)

Taken nice and early in the morning ie sunrise at 5.30am. The "sea" is extremely calm because you are looking at the water in the concrete tidal pool the Victorians constructed on Castle Sands here in St Andrews, it has since fallen into disrepair but provides an excellent photographic scene (my vanishing point entry was taken at the same place).

nice shot but, whatever that is sticking out of the water immediately pulled my eye there and I am not sure that really is a good thing in this case I would crop that fountain nozzle (?) out.
