| The harsh lighting makes the venation really stand out, but to me the strong contrast it creates isn't consistent with the character of the leaf. |

| This has kind of a "wallpaper" feel to it, not something that I generally like, but this has such crisp clarity and beautiful color to it. Very nice lighting, but a somewhat static composition. |

Technical: fits the challenge. Exposure composition focus lighting all good, the detail in the veins is very good.
Personal: Makes an interesting shot, almost an abstract.
My vote: 7 |

| Cool. Very mesmerizing. The coloration, definition and shadowing of the veins are remarkable. It's like following a maze. The glare at the bottom center is a little bit distracting and could probably be cropped just at the level of the 2nd rib from the bottom. But I am just being petty. Good job! |

| This is the third or fourth leaf I've seen in this challenge, and I think I like yours the best. The focus is excellent. |

| Interesting. My 9 year old came in as this came up and said "that's cool!" Very nice detail. Brightness at bottom of shot is a little distracting. |
