So by default I tend to shoot in shutter speed priority (I consider that semi-automatic). I found in this case though that a shutter speed of 1/250 was more than fast enough to freeze these little guys (haha). The burnout on the shell makes me think I should see if there is a polarized filter large enough for my tele available. I could have thrown boots on and waded a little closer, but it's springtime, and I could very well have potentially destroyed amphibian egg colonies if I had gone tromping through the water. Oh well, there's a decent cuteness factor here, so I think it's a keeper.

Ohmygosh you BET it's a keeper!!!!! This is AWESOME! I LOVE this photo! LOVE IT! I love how soft it is, yet the turtles and the mirror reflections are absolutey razor sharp! Fantastic job!!!!!
