| Is this part of a costume? It's a very striking photo and I want to rate it high, but I don't think you gave quite enough information to link it to childhood. It definitely reminds me of all the costumes I had to wear in school plays and for my ballet classes, etc., as a kid! So I feel satisfied in that respect. |

| I like this image, even if I don't understand it at all. What am I looking at and what does it have to do with childhood? Could this be part of a glass sculpture? If I weren't in such a good "it's friday before a three day weekend" mood, I'd be tempted to lower your score, but what the heck. 8 Swash |

| Fascinating colours and lighting. A really interesting shot. But not for this challenge. Connection to the challenge is too hard to fathom, even with the title. 9 in another challenge. 8 today. - floyd |

| The only reason I gave this a low score was because I didn't see how a fish's tail related to childhood. Othwise, very pretty. |

| This is a wonderful shot... I normally am not a big fan of abstract, but I'm learning to like it and this I like A LOT! One small issue... | I am not really sure what i'm looking at. your title is Fish Tale. So I am thinking that i'm looking at an actual photo of a Fish Tail. Since you spelled Tale so mean "a story" I am thinking that maybe there is a story behind the tail? To be honest, without the title, I would have no clue at all what this was. Setting that aside, the relationship to childhood is that you fished when you were young?? Anyway, the photo is really pretty, I assume there was some color editing going on. I like how it fills the frame, and the lighting appears to be good. There is a white blemish over to the right just under half way up that is a bit distracting. Interesting photo. Good luck in the challenge. |

UPDATE: Darn it! I have changed this back and forth between a nine and a ten 3 times this week. Ultimately I have decided that since I always have taken off at least one point for not meeting the challenge it would be hypocritical of me not to do so here. So, a nine it is and I refuse to let myself touch this comment area again. I LOVE the picture though. 9, just-married

Damn I love this shot. Why couldn't the challenge have been sea life or such?! So, I'm making a stretch and pretending that you meant this to be a mermaid so that I can justify in my mind not taking off points for missing the challenge. Every little girl fantasizes about mermaids after all. GORGEOUS color. nice texture, detail, lighting. | I'm not sure how this relates to the challenge, other than the fact that kids go fishing from time to time. Is this a fish tail? If so, it's a nice macro, but it doesn't envoke feelings of childhood memories to me... |

Beautiful colour and texture - just don't know what I am looking at. I'd guess the body of a fish going into the tail? But don't get the concept. Lovely shot though.
