 A couple of poppy seed heads. I did a lot of dodging and burning. Darkened the background and parts of the front poppy.

Sepia works here. The angle really makes it difficult to discern what this is a photo of although your title does suggest. DOF good, and lighting is good. Overall, I really like this.

Nice B/W! Composition is interesting and keeps me on edge. One would normally allow room in front of the open end of the pod, or toward where it is leaning. Since you don't do that, the image gives me an edgy, artistic feel.

Beautiful! Love the blurry shapes in the background - DOF is just right. I like the choice to go for black and white, though I'd love to see the image in colour too, just for my own interest. Texture and shape together make this photo work so well for me.
