 Shot RAW. Converted in Photomatix.

Opened in PSCS3, adjusted curves/colours, contrast, ran through Variations. I did a fair bit of small adjustements, bit didn't write them down.

Then I cropped, and cloned out imperfections.

Resized, sharpened overall, then sharpened with the brush, added 1 px black border. Saved as JPG.

I look at this and really can't understand the score that it has been given. This is one of my favorite pictures on the entire DPC site. Thanks for giving me something to oooo and ahhh over :)

Oh my god, that's stunning! I love the smooth curves, the colours, the beautiful diagonal, really everything about this picture. The one objection would be that the edge of the sand dune looks a bit pixelated, but that's not your fault, that's the file size+resolution limit at work...

Actually, I'm adding this to my faves, I think it's beautiful.

The more I look, the more I like this. You've captured something different from a bog standard orange/yellow dune with cobalt blue sky (stunning though they are) Well done!

Right then, joke's on me as I now have to plough through 564 images and bump them all (yes, all of them) up. There'll be a third run through for fine tuning. It's day two now and I'm running late, sorry.

What an awesome photograph. Generally you see pictures of dunes without any prints in them. This is very unique.
