 I will be gone from Febr. 2 through Febr. 9, so I'm sending the original now in case it's needed.

Shot RAW, converted in PSCS3

In PS:

- Rotated 90 degrees CCW;
- Adjusted levels using channel masks on different adjustment layers;
- Added a dodge/burn layer (50% grey in soft light) and dodged/burned a bit;
- Adjusted colours to intensify reds and pinks
- Used variations to adjust highlights, shadows, and saturation, and to lighten midtones;
- Resized
- Selected feathered area around petals that I wanted sharp, and sharpened there;
- Inverted selection and reduced noise on it;
- Used sharpen brush a little more on edges of petals;
- Saved for web.

Wow, amazing shot.
This had to be an incredibly wide aperture.
I can't explain why this is so good. It's the subtlety of hinting towards focus on the outer edge of the petal. The colours are great and the bokeh helps promote the focuses subject with a non destracting backdrop.
