That is one nasty odor, for sure. I'd get closer in, I think, for this challenge, unless the "plume" were more delineated. But still a very nice shot.

This is unfortunately a true depiction of our environment. The haze that prevents clarity of the factory makes a strong statement. I like the contrast between that and the green of nature in the front.

The curves of the bridges make an attractive composition, and they contrast with the boxy shapes of the plant. This picture certainly conveys the feeling of the plant's smell. I'd like to see that factory a little clearer, and less dead black in the foreground.

Pretty good composition. Enough going on to tell a story without the need for detail and a clean unobstructed view. Just don't see this as fitting in with the topic as I am sure none of the smells from this facility are pleasant.

You get used to it after a while. Our family passed thru a paper mill town when we went to visit my grandparents. It was a marker, indicating it would only take 1/2 an hour to get there.

Ewww that does stink. We have seveal near us also. Nasty smell. The bridges in this shot are wonderful and I love the use of negative space. Good job. Good luck.

The limited colour range and darkness in the foreground are cool, but overall I don't get the idea of "smell" in this image.
