Yet another split decision on whether to submit.. Have a feeling this may not do well because it's not a fictional book. I guess we'll see!

Love the monochromatic look, and the seeming fluidity of the spatula really catches the eye. The use of light and shadow both on the subject, and even more subtly in the background really emphasizes the eye bending effect of the shadow's curve. Very nicely done!

Good job shooting this I-have-no-idea-what-it's-for tool without any annoying reflections.

Nice tones and lighting. Not entirely pleased by the composition.. I think it would be better with the whole masher? in the frame. Also, it looks like you've used neatimage or something similar on the shot as there is banding evident in the grays. This may or may not be my monitor tho.

The geometric shapes and the apparent bending of shadow is a nice change.

This is very matrixy! I love it. It does not even seems as if it were bent forcfully but it just bent naturally. Very creative. The BG works well with the silver, great lighting to cast the shadow in a perfect fashion

I really like the idea. Reverse of so many here, but the angles are a tad off. Really nice lighting though.

Nice lighting to bring out the metallic tones. Did you bend a spatula, or is this some tool that's supposed to be bent like this?

I hope you didn't waste a perfectly good spatula on this shot :)

would a tighter crop on top and bottom helped sell the stretch of the shadow here?
