Critiques Club review:
Howdy Darcy,
First, I think a quiet tub can be a very sacred spot, especially after a hard day. So the shot fits the challenge well.
The shot is very interesting and the more I look at it the more I like it. The tub, faucet, and the flowered cloth are quite nice. The angle of the shot, I can go either way, so not that important artistically.
The only improvements/down falls I can see are the scrubber/brush and dark green aloe? plant. To me they both distract from the shot a bit. I would have prefered a nice glass of wine and some flowers or candle.
As a whole the photo is quite nice and I hope this helps a bit.

| Nice idea. I would have cropped it in a little closer, and it would have been good if you could have actually shown the steam coming up |

| I left a comment on this but for some reason it didn't take! I like the steam on the faucet, very nice but the soft focus is just a tad too soft for my taste. Also the angle of the tub top is a bit disorienting to me. I started at a 6 but am going to a 7 |

| The lower portion of the shot has a soft, relaxed feel, while the top portion seems very "busy". I find my eyes jumping around, searching for something to rest on, but am continuously distracted by all the things going on in the upper area of the photo. |

| nice colors, and there is something about that pink rose that makes this photo work. I feel that there is nothing really \"focused\" here though ... every element in the photograph seems to be blurred/softened too much, I think if the sink tap was more focused this would look better. |

| Nice saturated colors, I like the soft focus - can see enough to get a sense of what is in the background without it being too distracting. The odd angle is almost as if one is reclining in the tub. very nice. 9 |

| Great angle used in the shot. Helps make the composition very interesting. I like the selection of a soft focus. Gives the feeling of a hot bath. The mist of the hot water on my glasses. All the colors above the tub helps to give it a serene feeling. Beautiful. |
