Talk about a last minute entry! Tonight, the last night to enter, was my daughter's birthday, and after examining the pictures I thought this one would do really nicely in the Table-top challenge. So, I had to pull my submission out of the DOF, because both were exclusive challenges, hopefully following my gut instinct. I sure hope this one does well!

Well...I actually thought this one would do WELL.... it started off nice, but plummeted towards the average.
What makes this image special and GOOD, is the lighting and the narrow DOF. It's so 3-dimensional. If you look at it again, you'll realize that you could actually be sitting there and feeling the heat off of those candles! Can't you smell the pink frosting!!!! Oh well, I have yet to learn what makes you, voters, go WOW! |
