From the Critique Club
Oh boy,, I would get you wouldn't I! lol
As I said during the challenge, great subject matter and very fitting the topic.
I suspected at the time this was shot through a window, or a display of some sort. The line/cable down the left and that bit of green border upper left detract from the shot.
I"m not sure about the colour. On my monitor it is rather pink/reddish. A truer sepia tone may have worked better to give a period feel to this image.
I do like the crop/composition/border and use of a tall panorama format. Using that size and shape gives the feel of endless paper. It speaks to the need for ongoing dialogue and the dissemination of ideas.
I think I would have liked to see this with the typewriter keys being a bit sharper. The soft treatment on the paper does work for me.
If you want to work further with this image, get out the clone and sharpen tools!
I hope this helps.

I like the idea behind this but all the paper in the background is really distracting as is the line that runs down the left side, I'm guessing this was in a window? The sharpness could also be touched up a notch. A 5 |

Nice idea, and a nice shot - but the white and black lines (wires?) at the left detract from the otherwise clean composition. |

I'm a bit confused by what all is in the picture, but I like the overall concept. |

An interesting concept and idea. I think the overall picture effectiveness could have been improved by a sharper focus on the typewriter, and perhaps a more horizontal crop because it feels really tight to me. |

I applaud the subject and composition. The line down the left side is very distracting though. 6 |

i don't get the white line at the left side. I assume it's intentional, but it's a little hard to place at first. the tones are wonderful in this, and i really appreciate the concept. nice simple border too. good job. -Pedro |

I like the idea but the focus is a bit soft to the point of kinda hurting my eyes.
I like the composition, and the lighting.

The pink cast is interesting. Could be sharper. I like your idea - a typerwriter is rare and sacred. |
