Spend 3 hours with various lighting in combination with different colored plastic report folders to deepen the blue of the plate, various shutter stops, and several different shell choices .

Background is a cracked glaze plate. I cut out a blue plastic report folder cover and placed it over the plate to get a deeper blue. The shell is about an 1/2 inch.

Wish I could remove the two dust specks but since that is against the rules I have to leave them there and hope for the best.

Interesting image! The focus on teh shell is a bit soft, but otherwise very nice with strong colors. Not sure how the title relates, but that is beside the point! :)

nice colors. For me it would work better if the shell were further out into the image. Here it seems a bit crowded. Still I like this very much.

Very nice background, and great use of the shell. Could have used deeper DOF to get the whole shell in focus for more interesting detail. Nice colours.
