Bravo for you wife participating in this shoot. I does not look the LEAST bit taudry or cheap. It looks like a dynamic portrayal of what you were trying to portray. Congratulations to you both! |

Uhm... I'm gonna have to say I'm a bit disappointed in the way this one placed. For those of you who don't think it represents "Battle of the Sexes" see Wikipedia.
Nudity? Well, check with a lot of women who struggle in male dominated industries an see how "naked" they feel.
The voters have spoken. I disagree, but I do think it will sell. |

43rd???? WHAT??? Geez. I guess it was voted down for the nudity like you said. This is an AMAZING image with such POWERFUL symbolism. I do NOT agree that it would have been better with a suit. The nudity emphasized the womanly aspect to this dillema. And as for where the battle is, well maybe people just didn't understand the phrase "glass ceiling".
I'd say, put a nice plain black border at the bottom and have fancy-but-simple looking text saying "Glass Ceiling" there, and see how it sells. |

I heard nude women actually get promoted faster and more often. :P |

Fantastic ide and great angle for the shot. The lighting is a bit dim, and I wonder why she's naked in this shot, when the Glass Ceiling phrase is typically used for professional terms? |

Extremely raw and emotive, bumped up to a 10 because this one sticks with me, and really makes the idea travel beyond the photograph and into my soul. I'm not a fan of nudity, but the vulnerability here is astonishing, the high viewpoint reinforces that theme. Fabulous work, well done. |

Concept: Unique. Execution: Poor. The use of nude here was uneccessary. Could have been much better in color with a sharp-looking business suit.
Quality: Too Low a DOF for effect. Angle is awkward, shadows and makeup choice detract from the overall.

Well illustrated! I sometimes feel I am in a glass box, with all my male 'colleagues' sitting on the lid and laughing at me through the sides - yep, this photo has hit a bit of a raw nerve! |

A little too dark and wish the glass were a little more obvious - took me a moment to even realize you were under glass! Great concept though |

This is one of my favorite submissions. It's not as well-executed as I think it could have been done (probably because of the glass being used), but the use of nude on this one is appropriate, and I love the perspective. Keep tweaking this idea, and I think you have something very special. |
