Maureen & John Lakeman wearing the Lakeman crest on there outfits, are members of the 15th century medieval society, and have been friends of ours for many years.
When this challenge was posted they came straight to mind, and agreed to do the shoot which was done on there property, a Shetland and miniature horse stud “Vamara” located at the back of Hervey Bay, Australia.

After a number of different poses I decided where the woman had the man down on his knees and pointing the sword in a delicate direction would be the most suitable for this challenge. Hope you like it.

I didn't vote in this Challenge, but looking through the results, the colours stood out in this one. Then I saw the eucalypts and wondered if they were costumes made by my cousin in Melbourne. Well, maybe not. But the gum trees are anachronistic, aren't they! Good fun picture.

Cute idea. Though I think you could have done more as far as expression and pose. She seems as if she is about to stab him while he looks as though he's posing for a portrait. They are all dressed up, think they should play the part! :)

As far as technicals the photos seems a lacking in some clarity.

A great image, strong contrasting coloration of subject and background, nice finesse. Appears staged which detracts a bit. Right on challenge concept.
Worthy of 3rd place ribbon to me.
