Davy - fantastic, dramatic shot : the colours are superb. I'm assuming this HDR was done from a single exposure. I think DPC voters are getting over HDR, otherwise this would have done better. I would love to see more detail in the foreground (which I'm sure you have in your prime version). |

HDR Crazy - but one of my favourites. Great over-processing here. |

The two black bands at the top and bottom really ruin this for me. |

you know how much i love this photo already. The warmth in the sky and in the fading distance is one of the main point in this photo that really draw me to it. Aswell i like how the fading light on the city leads you to the ominous silhouette of Mount Fuji in the background. Great perspective, i believe that you needed such a high point to really capture the vastness of the city. Just all in all i really like this photo. |

I really shouldn't like this because of the false colours, but because of the false colours I do! Lots of interest in the detail too. |

Best: Umm, love the city and the intentional contrast
Worst: The sky, although intentional, really distracts...the reds are alright, just wish it was darker and moodier |

such a fun effect. sadly, I'm not a huge fan of sprawling citscapes since I live in an part of the world that has entirely too much. Additionally, there seems to be a lot of detail that has been lost in resizing. This has led to a somewhat unclear subject.
Still, I'll give it a bit of a push since I was once told 'DPCers are not generally fans of heavy color shifts... assuming that these are not the natural colors that is... |

I really like the picture but:
1) I don't see what the title has to do with the image
2) The bottom part of the picture is oversaturated (even if it actually does look nice to my taste)
3) It really looks like you have played too much with the sky.
I will give this a 7.
The frame gives it a very cinematographic effect!
Where did you take the picture? I would be curious to know.
Good luck in the challenge! |

its been my experience that DPC'ers don't love "experimental" shots and processing, which is how i'd describe this, but I love it. the site needs more of this. Keep it up! 9 |
