Comments Made During the Challenge  |

over 20,000 men died in 3 hours, making this the absolute deadliest day in our nation's history, and one of the most deadliest days in all warfare. almost all of them died fighting hand to hand. and they all died fighting for something they believed in. this place moves me like no other place i've ever been. and it just sickens me that we would let 40,000+ people a year die in traffic crashes (with a third of them involving alcohol), but the thought of one more soldier dying while fighting for someone else's freedom on foreign soil is enough to make us cut and run. i guess after 200 years, we have nothing left to fight for.
sorry for the rant, i just kinda connected with the image. nice work, btw. |

| The barren trees really add to the emotion of this shot, and black and white was a good choice as well, I think. |
