A friend in Singapore sent me this tiny teapot and three tiny cups for Christmas last year. There's an elaborate set of instructions for brewing the clear jasmine pearl tea and for pouring it.

The pot is made of smooth seasoned clay, with Chinese characters pressed into the base and the handle, and it feels warm and comforting to the touch. It's a lovely teapot and a lovely gift.

The flower is a small piece of a silk lilac stem; it seemed to have an Asian flavor and added color to the teapot.

Small rotation, very small crop, and NeatImage.

nice color combination, nice neutral background. Wish it was all sharp sharp sharp

I recently went to Brugges and in one tea house enjoyed a tea which was based on steamed japanese tea with rose petals, blue bottle petals and mango - or something like that. The aroma was very subtle and yet had quite a strong impact. This image reminds me of it.
The position of the teapot - particularly the lid - feels tilted.

Like the see the Depth of Field just a hair deeper...

The blurred theepot and limited depth of field works well in this picture. If emphasis form and color, makes it more than a picture of some nice objects.

this is lovely and it's such an unlikely color combination

Very nice shot. I don't know why I feel that a real flower would have improved the picture. But it might be just me. 8

I like the colour on this and the subject. The flower spoils it a little. 6

nice setup, but I find lighting to be a bit dull, a little more dramatic lighting (from one side) would create a more moody effect.

I like the set up and the composition. The light is also nice. Normally I am a big fan of shallow depth of field, but in this case I would have liked to have seen all of the pot in the back in focus. The sharp front with the blurred handel and spot, I find to be distracting.

Fantastic color, fantastic light, and fantastic composition. I would of liked the water a bit darker....? However maybe that didn't work. This is very good.
