| the swan is flat and featureless, its entire face is lost in the black, I just find nothing that holds my attention for even an instant |

| White objects on dark backgrounds are always difficult - and here the whites are correctly exposed but the detail's been lost in the dark tones, and because of the way the light's falling on the head, it makes it hard to see the swan's eye - which is the most important part of the shot. |

| Most "portraits" deal mainly with the face (human or otherwise). In this case, the face of the swan is nearly invisible which reduces is charm for me. |

| I do not like this photo because you can hardly see any detail of the swan and the background is so dark that it looks like it was a cut and paste onto black. The composition is good though. |
