not much of a portrait

Oh my god, what have you done? I don't know if I'm a big fan of this processing although it does have some strange appeal. Actually this character reminds me a bit of Ignatius J Reilly from the book A Confederacy of Dunces, except he looks drunk :)

Hmm, maybe a little too much flash!

I find the flash a little too harsh on this shot - it's a shiny subject which means the reflection off the leg, stomach and post burns out. might have been unavoidable if you only had a fixed on-camera flash available though.

I am sorry to say that I think this photo went wrong. The harsh reflections of your flash put highlights in the wrong places, forcing you to leave other areas too dark, and renderning the picture 2-dimensional.

Not very interesting to me.

Not a portrait.

I know many "veterans" of this site don't like images of artwork (or it's not allowed) - or both. That point aside, I like the black background, but there are a few "hot" spots from the flash and lighting. I like how your subject is off-centered.

Lovely idea and nice composition...but not as well-executed as it might have been. It's a bit too grainy and ill-focused to persuade me.
