Interesting image! Title really pulls it all together. I love the color contrasts, the focus is great, but as a personal preference I'd rather the ring was more defined. I like the composition - leaving the pulled petals in really gives depth and background to the photo. A great idea and well executed. 8 |

You have created a heartbreaking story with just one image. That is hard to do. Good color, content and framing. Just an exceptional job. |

The ring keeps distracting me, actually. Seems like there's too much stuff in the background. I'd rather look at the wonderful detail on the flower and enjoy your color choices. |

I love the short depth of field in this shot. |

Very original idea. Very good composition. Very good colors. Like the dof.
negative, it's a personal thing so feel very free to ignore it. I would like to see more of the flower head in focus. |

I really love the colors! The DOF seems a bit too narrow though. I like the creativeness though, fits theme very well. |

I think the ring is a little distracting, otherwise I like the choice of colors and the composition. |

Neat idea, good execution. My only wish would be that the entire petal were in focus. Still, one of my favorites so far. |

Pretty, though because it's an orange daisy I hadn't recognised it as a daisy (I'm more used to white ones) and only realised the significance when I read the title. Really like the use of shallow DOF and the blue background. Angle of ring feels a little too tilted and I am not sure it should be cropped. Nice photo overall though. |

Interesting use of DOF. I wish I could get so tight with my camera.... However I don't think it gives the impact in this shot. I would like to see DOF just a bit deeper. Also crop out a bit if possible! |

You know when I first saw this i wans't completely sold on it, however I left it and came back and I must say it's grown on me. The colour is great, as is the macro detail and the DOF. The only thing I'd remove is the top petal, for some reason I think it draws your eye up of the focus. |

not sure the background works well with the orangy yellow flowers - something seems a bit unpleasant about the colours. A good concept though |
