The detail here is exceptional - I like the way you can see all the little veins in the petals - you can see the softness! You have a very good feel/sense for light. The composition, as Ursula points out, is a bit lacking in that the flower is just kinda there. Since I totally suck at shooting flowers, I can't offer much help except to say see Ursula's portfolio - she can shoot flowers. With your ability to capture light, you'll be able to work magic with shots like these!

The pink is beautiful, and the background is very white, but the flower is just floating there, no connection to anything. ~4

Pretty indeed! I love the different shades of pink against the white, and the texture in the leaves. Light on white in a very fine fashion! :)

nice shot but there is slight cropping on the left and bottom and a bit close on the right, if there was the amount of space on all sides as there is on the top then IMO it wourld be a better image

I think the composition is what hurts this most. Centering the subject creates a stagnant composition in this case especially because the subject itself has no point of interest in itself. The lighting feels flat. And the merging with the edges of the frame makes this feel uncomfortably squeezed.
