Date Uploaded: Oct 31, 2006

I took this photo at sunset (obviously) and jarred the camera at the end of the exposure.

Processing: I made four different levels layers and selectively blocked out and let in certain parts. Then I sharpened selectively, and here we are.

I'm predicting a low score on this one. Probably around a 5. These are some of my comment predictions.

"I wish the trees were sharp"
"Maybe you should have used a tripod"
"I would have liked to see it without the jarring effect"
"Meets challenge: 2
Technical/process: 0
Composition: 1
Biased "wow": 0
Creativity: 1"

Do I get a ribbon if I guess right?

Nice job--very underrated, but impressionistic shots using motion blur almost always are--why I stopped entering them here (I think)! Gave you a 9!

I understand that you did this on purpose, but I don't understand what you were trying to say with it.

I actually like the abstract/surreal feel the jarred exposure gives. The colours and movement create quite a mood. I think this will end up being a love/hate type of shot, though from me at least it is a love.

Cool abstract. Things do not always have to be in sharp focus to be interesting.

it looks nice and arty and I like it...but I am not sure these kind of things are popular on this site

Neat. Sometimes we have happy accidents.

I don't know if the jarred exposure was accidental or if you did it on purpose. Either way I like the way it turned out gives a nice impressionistic feel.

Oh, I like this! It's very impressionistic. Be a great "long exposure" entry :-)
