Right place, right time. :)

I was at the beach to shoot kite surfers. Found a group of them who were waiting to go - just waiting for the tide to change and wind to pick up - and waiting - and waiting.... all afternoon there wasn't enough wind. Great guys though and were fun to chat with while I shot other nonsense on the beach. About the time the kite-surfers gave up for the day and were putting their kites away, a family showed up just beside us who own a company called "Extreme Kites". Heh. So I waited, and watched and shot and this shot presented itself! I'd asked permission to shoot this HUGE windsock while their son played under it and they said I could. The were busy hoisting another kite larger than this one! :)

Way to go Cindi!!! I like the way you've captured it from a side angle, instead of just a 90 degree angle - gives this a nice depth.

One hell of a kite - I like that you have got the man in the picture to give a ense of scale

I think you have the best shot of the challenge. I don't care for most so I haven't decided if I'm voting or not..if I do, you'll certainly get a 10. I came back to vote...10

My 2nd favorite image. I love the context, the colors of the kit, and overall impact. I think it ground may be processed a bit too much, stopping it from a perfect score. Wonderful capture.

This is awesome! Could you ask for a better subject related to this challenge? All of the elements work and I'd be disappointed if this does not ribbon. Bumping to an 8! Good luck.
