 Strasburg Railroad. Norfolk & Western #475 4-8-0. The background of the first train shot I entered this year didn't go over too well so I hitched a ride on the train, got off and waited for the next one to come through the fall Lancaster, PA countryside.

Adjustments: cloned out a pipe, levels, saturation, burned in the vignette, border, resize, unsharpmask

I would have cropped off the detail to the right of the train. My interest quickly leaves the train and goes to the grain elevator or whatever that is.

Its going to be really hard for anybody to say you didn't nail this one perfectly. I'll tell you what, I never cared too much for trains, but your photo makes me want to start collecting, starting with your photo. LOL. I'm not an incredibly accurate judge, but I got you as 2nd on my scorecard. GL, I think you will do very well.

I like the smile on the front of the train. Compositionally it might benefit from a bit more picture on the left, but I like the inclusion of the farm in the background on the right - adds nicely to the ambience.
