Yep...sometimes you just have to stop and take that shot. I have regretted many times being too lazy/rushed/cameraless or whatever and missing a good opportunity. This is a great night time shot and the moon and clouds add that extra something.

This picture doesn't suck, the voters do (except me). I gave it a 10. Maybe they all had crummy monitors.
Congratulations on a fabulous shot! There's got to be a market for this, being a landmark and all. Also very appropriate for election day:D
P.S. Where did the stars come from? |

I like the touch of stars at the base of the photo here...good detail on the building as well. |

I love thie lighting on the building and the sky. I wish there was a little detail in the bushes in the foreground. 7 |

Interesting capture...the stars were hidden and I didn't notice them at first glance. Good sharpness and exposure control. :) |

Well. . .since I was with you when you took this shot -- I can't deny that I know whose it is -- but I have to say: It takes my breath away! The exposure and focus are perfect! The moon adds so much beautiful drama to the photo -- and that starry fence taken with a wide angle lens was a genius touch that adds so much elegance to this photo! At first -- I was hoping to maybe enter one of my Capitol shots into this Free Study -- but now I'm so glad I didn't because I did't have one nearly this cool and beautiful! It's going straight into my favorites folder -- and it gets an unhesitating 10! |

A bit crooked. And I am unsure how the title goes with the image. I see the moon, but I don't get the "stars" reference? OH, is it the FLAG? As in Stars & Stripes? If so, the flag is just not salient enough in the image. It is actually a bit blurry due to the shutter speed. |

I love this. The juxtaposition between the flag, dome and moon is excellent. I like the sweep of the fence too. The texture of the clouds adds tons to it. Well composed and thought out. GOOD ONE. |
