 Just got an idea at the last minute...maybe it will or won't work for me.

A lemon on toothpicks with a black background and natural light from a window. I couldn't get a fast enough shutter speed to really stop the action. Tried my SB600 with lightsphere, but couldn't really freeze the action.

In the end, I like the result.

EDIT: levels, curves, saturation, USM, resize, Noise Ninja with some extra sharpening, border and that's it. Wish we could spot heal some blemishes under basic, but nooooo...

Hope for a 6 plus.


POST CHALLENGE: I am really pleased finishing 7th...it was probably the quickest shoot I have done and the quickest editing...I really am pleased, chuffed actually! Thanks everyone

This is so nice, Enzo - I thought sure I would see it as one of the Ribbon Winners. To me, it is the quintessence of OxyMoron. I'm really glad it got in the top 10.

Oh this is AWESOME! The minute I saw this one in the challenge I thought it was going to win the blue ribbon. It is BEAUTIFUL! As always! Your work just continues to amaze me :)

Great shot Enzo. Freezing the action with sugar is something I haven't tried yet....;-) It worked out very well for you though and the idea, colours and composition are wonderful. Congratulations on your top 10 finish.

Sweet! Nicely done, the colors, framing and concept all work, the motion on the sugar makes it a little hard to tell what it is but still a very pleasing image.

This is a really nice shot, but what I assume is sugar is a little too out of focus to make out what it is.

This is a beautiful photo, at first I thought it was water until I looked closer.. Details on the lemon are great! I hope this scores well -- it is one of my favorites from this challenge.
