Would have looked better with the contrast and shadows afforded by bright sunshine. As it is I think the train looks a bit flat. I'd love to get my hands on it though for a bit of restoration. |

This is great... I am a fan of trains, old and new. I wanted to do a trian photo this week but I think it was expected that I would :) Mabye you can tell me some more about this one sometime in the future... did you try this in black and white? Good work... - jmsetzler |

This is a really good shot; I'm glad you stayed with colour. I don't think it needs B&W or sepia treatment - the rust looks superb, and I think that'd be lost without colour. One small gripe ΓΆ€“ the focus is a bit off, but that ΓΆ€“ for me anyway - doesn't detract much from the picture (9) |

Very nice. The closest thing to a "problem" that I see with this photo is the tank, it seems a tad too bright. On the other foot, compensating for that might have made some of the other parts of the train too dark, so I feel you balanced this about as good as possible. 9 Swash |

Even though the train is obviously the main subject it seems that if a wider focal length were used to show more of the train and its environment it would have more impact. |

nice picture. It looks a little overexposed (a little to bright) |

though i like being able to see the"cab", I think it is too close a crop on the right. imagine the stories this engine could tell! karmat |

Great subject! The first thing that comes to my mind is; What made you cut off the front and the rest of the stack. The engine is massive enough to speak for itself, and you are not cropping enough to make an observer concentrate on less than the whole engine. In my opinion any way. Autool |

Something old. Use your photographic technique to emphasize the age of your subject. Composition - good Technical Aspects - quite good Meets Challenge - yes Visual Impact / Originality - good

Nice subject, and composition. Image seems a bit washed out, and I think would be improved with a touch of sharpening. |

This is awesome, would have been neat with an old man in overalls |

Leveling to focus more on the coloring of the train would have been nicer. |

I like the subject. The composition seems a little weak. |
