 This picture probably won't do very well score wise but I just love it. This older couple was at the Hot Springs Spa in Pagosa Springs, CO - they were sitting on the edge of one of the spa pools close to sunset. I loved the way the light shone on them and the contented attitude they had - they looked so happy with each other and in just being alive. As soon as I saw them this title popped in my head as this couple seemed to epitomize the very simple joy of a long term commited relationship.

Editing: Crop; Adjustment layers for levels, curves and hue/sat (increase yellow sat a bit); Flatten; noise reduction with Helicon noise filter; Resize; Smart sharpen; save for web.

Nice work; the erlative positioning of the two privileges him, which is possibly a shame, although one understands the desire to keep the stonework in shot. It has an almost classical feel, and would maybe have been even more arresting in black and white. It's compassionate, and I like that.
