yayaya water drops ;)
crop curve usm --Reference: DSC7324

---
for thouse who want to know / this is actually a marble shot -- marble is rolled down a ramp and splashes into the water .. no big deal
but the rotation of the marble helps move the water in a curve rather than straight up & down ..
these were the colors it really was just B&W ;)

I can't believe that people said they saw the movie but can't relate this to the movie! The water formations were the biggest special effect of the movie!

One of the finest WD's I've seen. Well done.

Wicked shot! I have to learn how to do these :)

A facinating shot even without the movie connection. I hope you explain how you did it!

Very nice shot, but I don't understand it...

Interesting shot.. Lovely execution.. 7 for me.

nice picture. Doesn't connect to the movie at all for me. Wasn't it supposed to be on the floor of the ocean?

8 :) nicely done

Interesting photo!

creative, but It might have worked better if you had some sort of ship in the photo to give it more of an abyss feel

Very cool.

I love that movie! This is a great picture also. Only thing I would say is what you already know: Clean that sensor! In any case, as always with sensor dust as long as it's not horrible, I don't take points off for it.

Stunning!

Wonderful, wonderful, wonderful, and most wonderful! This is beautiful and fits perfectly into the movie.

Great picture, I like it and it meets the challenge. I'm wondering what where the original colors? If it was blue, maybe it would have been more striking, but this is just my opinion. This shoul ribbon, good luck.

pushing the theme a little here ;-)

Stunning!

awesome shot but I don't see what this has to do with the Abyss... maybe it's been too long since I've seen it.
08/30/2006 12:57:34 AM
*lol* ;-)

I probably would have made this blue but otherwise great take to the challenge. The first thing I thought of when seeing this was that movie.
08/29/2006 10:27:05 PM
Excellent, I just wish it was blue...
08/29/2006 08:41:49 PM
Ah ... verrrryy clever. Was just about to drop several points for shoehorning in a water drop when I remembered the alien. That was an amazing special effect for the time. So you get at least a point, maybe two, for making me smile at the memory.

Looking at the photo as a photo, it's very nice. I just might not have cropped it so tightly at the top.
