Quite amusing, actually! I got a kick out of it. Nice treatment with the blur and the black and white - very effective! |

I love the blur. I makes the photo look older and more like from a large format camera. Good job. |

Great composition. To consider: should the sign on the smoke house be more in focus? This image has a nice vintage look to it. |

Is this a lens baby or is the blur on the edges some special effect in photoshop? Either way, I find it very appealing, especially on the left-hand side. For me, there might be even more impact if the smoke house were more to the right instead of dead center in the frame. I'm enjoying the b&w and reasonably low contrast a lot. |

Hmmmmmmmm... Well now... A most curious interpretation of the challenge topic. Clouds are nice and they add subtle highlighting around the 'smoke house'. Looks like a model setup studio shot.
Sure hope that is me sailboarding in the background... I dreamed of stuff like that when the 100+ (38+ in celsius) temperatures were beating down on me during the heat of the day. I don't smoke but often felt as hot as smoke! :) - Steve |

First, glance I was thinking this is out of focus. Then I looked at it more realized that it is soft and it really works with this composition. Great job. |
