nice shot. it could stand to be a bit sharper, and framed a bit tighter, though. |

i think this is a pretty fancy shot. the horse himself is brilliantly sharp and fantastically lit - his muscles are really enhanced by the natural light. it's a slight pity you didn't get it JUST the moment all four hooves are in the air (just like that famous 100+ year old photo), and i might be tempted to make this black and white or sepia as a nod to that historic picture (you know the one; two guys bet about the horse ever leaving the ground, so set a long row of cameras taking shots as the horse passes and basically creates the first motion picture). but i digress. this is a very nice. 7. |

Nice DOF. I'd crop tighter and try to leave a little space in front of the horse and rider. |

Looks like a fun event to take photos at. Pretty good job overall of stopping the motion, the horse especially. The rider looks a little blurred, but not bad. Compositionally I think this image would have more impact if there was less space on the left and more on the right. |
