 Not sure how I quite feel about this one, but I really wanted to enter a challenge (been all week without the refresh button).

I think it portrays simplicity and serentity with it's minimalistic tone, but I guess we'll see how the voters react to it.

Because of a thread started by Rikki, I'll be posting my original shot with my challenge entries from now on so everyone can see where I started from. The subject was shot on a piece of computer paper with a 500 watt work light and 2 desk lamps for lighting...

Okay, I've looked at this over and over, and I've finally realised just what is...."off?"... It's my perspective! Seeing it in thumbnail again triggered the lightbulb. This is one of those shots that need to be viewed from a bit farther back to allow all the elements to blend perfectly. We're noticing small details which, alone, may not seem quite right somehow, but fit perfectly into the totality.
When I move back from my screen it works wonderfully and I can totally picture it as a large print in a simple frame. :)

On the border of losing the impact with this high-key approach I think. Certainly a nice approach and I like the simple composition. Looks like there are some nice colors available that could pop a bit more. JMO of course. Good luck.

I like the over exposed-ness but I think you should have uped the saturation on the wheat stuff, oh and it's out of foucus
