 Advanced editing would have been helpful to get rid of some sensor dust, and all the scratches on my well-used cellphone.
Dealing with the blue light of the mobile phone screen was quite difficult, since the lighting for the shot was yellow tungsten. Eventually I just desaturated the blue channel, hence the monochrome appearance of the screen.

The text on the love letter is selected from a letter written by Gustave Flaubert (I edited it quite a bit to get the good bits to fit).

Ah, brilliant idea! I like how you managed the light. I need to learn more about how to light my main foreground subject well while still making the background visible.
