Shot on the Mighty Rock River.

Spent awhile on this one in photoshop, converted from raw, resized, reduced noise sharpened

spent a long time tinkering with the color, highlights and shadows, contrast and brightness trying to make the baby ducks stand out a little bit. Sharpened again and framed. Crossed fingers and uploaded.

Post Challenge: Thanks for taking the time to look at my photo, Most of you were right, I got a bit carried away with the editing and by the time I had realized it I had run out of time to try and redo it. The Ducks are very real, the mother duck was a very light color which is why I took the photo in the first place. She was also very wet as they had just came out of the water a minute or two before I snapped this shot. It was a bit out of focus so I tried to clean it up with noise reduction and sharpinging but did a bit too much. I will be posting a new version in my portfolio in the near future. again thanks for the comments.

Are these real? If so maybe too much smoothing, they look plastic.

Focus is a bit off. Ducks seem a bit soft.

Cute, grainy and slightly off focus but it's cute.

There is something that I can´t put my finger on regarding this photo that throws me way off, did you use a tool like shadow/highlights and took it to the extreme? Anyway, I must say whatever it is, wether the lighting was just very wierd that day where you were or if it was due to some PP tweaking this just looks wierd to me and I don´t really care for the outcome. 4 from me.

I think the camera is focusing on the rocks.

Maybe it's just my eyes but it looks the bright areas have been over-sharpened while the midtones remained under-sharpened or soft. It certainly represents the theme though.

Heh! Cute. But they look very fake/plasticy. I suspect a post-processing noise reduction technique may have caused this look.

Amusing and on topic.

This is a nice shot but it almost looks like you focused on the rock and not the birds?

I really like the title, but something makes the ducks look a bit fake.

The mother duck looks a little like plastic. Too much NI maybe?
