The calm of the water around the goose definitely says stationary to me. However, the placement of the goose in the image leaves a considerable amount of negative space in the bottom left of the picture. This negative space doesn't really add to the picture, as the orientation of the goose and the shadows in the water lead your eye away from the negative space. The focus on the goose also appears to be sharpest on the rear end instead of the head. |

I've never had much luck with a duck.
