This person looks too posed and clean really. I'd go so far as to say at the height of fashion - which counters your presumed intention of showing someone down on their luck. Nicely taken, well composed shot though. |

whilst it looks a desolate place she looks quite well cared for and I think its just a pose with a model |

Nice shot, but she has the cleanest hair I've ever seen on a vagrant. Good levels of contrast. (Her gloves look brand new, too). 8 Rob the Swash |

She looks a little too pretty to be a bum, but who knows? Good expression on her face though one way or the other. |

I really like this photo. The concept and the location are both excellent. There is only one thing about it that bothers me a little. The model looks exactly like a model...she just doesn\'t seem to belong in that setting. She looks too well groomed. All of the homeless people that I\'ve encountered look very rough...mussed and dirty hair, ragged and dirty clothing, etc. Your composition is teriffic and you deserve high marks on this one. |

The subject's expression, the way she is lit, and the decrepit surroundings combine to make an emotional portrayal of desolation here. The title adds further emphasis. |

Nice image but a little soft, I think.
Nice composition and textures.
I wonder if it would be stronger with her looking downwards, towards the bottle perhaps - looking out of the window at the light seems slightly optimistic rather than desolate, though one could argue that she\\'s looking at the rest of the world moving on without her. Anyway, that doesn\\'t affect the vote it\\'s just me wondering out loud.

feels a tiny bit manufactured |

Beautiful photo, nice composition and even nice acting! But.. she is acting, isn't she? I mean.. the overall look is cool more than desolated. I had to give it just 5. |

Poignant shot, the girl's expression is very effective. Could perhaps do with some more sharpness. Shame the highlights are blown out. Great composition. 8 |
