 Experiment with flash and textures on a blue perspex buddha, place on a glass table covered by 150 gram orange paper with a hold cut through the paper directly under the base of the buddha. Vivitar 283 fired remotely through a bounce unit under the buddha, making the paper and the buddha glow. Backdrop was blue and orange glittery gauze hung on a black mounting board, lit by the firing flashgun. All lighting came from the flashgun. First time using a TIFF file and not a JPEG from the camera too.

Hey Carl. This is really kinda cool. I think you'd have scored at least a whole point higher if you'd used something else as a backdrop - more of the orange paper, maybe, to make the statue stand out even more. The lighting setup is very nice - I like the way his eyes just barely glow.

I find the crooked (Folded) background very distracting. If you move the subject furthe away from it it will start to blur.

fits the challenge. could be darker from the top to create a bit mor mysteriousness
focus to be worked on. 7 nevertheless

2 - Colors fairly well meet the Challenge. Overall just not holding my interest enough. Variation in background may have helped, not sure.
