hand-held ;-)
this shot is what it is. iso3200, handheld at 1/50. guess that IS does work.
i shot 79 frames in 25 minutes, and something was wrong with damn near every frame. here's one of the other ones
very minor post-processing, levels and curves and such, most of which were done in lab mode before changing to grayscale.
as always, thanks for the votes, views, & comments ;-)
this was shot at the 3rd St Diner, where, ironically, i shot all of these just about a year ago. my, how time flies... |

As with the other image of yours that I commented on. The black border in this shot bleeds into the image where the image is darkest. |

Nice capture of a nice expression. After conversion to B&W, please revisit your levels. Bumping up the midtone and black levels might help to pull her face out of the background. Also DOF to include the guy might be better for many viewers because there is so much of him. |

I like this a lot ... although the added "grain" is too regular that knocks it from a 8 to a 7 for me |

Beautiful, natural expression captured on the woman. You've included enough background to provide the viewer with some contextual clues. I onlly wish the guy's eyes weren't closed. |

This looks pulled out of an advertisement or movie reel. Composition and POV are perfect. Lighting is excellent. Expressions priceless. Excellent work! 10 |

I don't usually like comments or give them, but since candids are near and dear to my heart, I have decided to comment on every photo in this challenge.
Photo is very grainy to me. Good focus and expression on the woman. I like the tones, but probably would have gone more on the sepia side. Just kind of ok for me. No big wow factors felt here from it. A 4 vote from me. |

Excellent. Their expressions are truly "caught." 9 |

i like the moment, the expression, the very strong sense of location and mood; seems a touch forced into the nearly square crop, perhaps. |
