i think i would have cropped out the top two inches of this photo, focussing on the boys and thew waves. i find the orange at the top a little distracting |

Aha, looks like Lake Michigan, near North Ave. Nice capture of action, brings back memories of playing volleyball at North Ave. and Oak St. years ago. Nice composition, colors, stop action. |

ncie idea but this shows why one should follow the rule of thirds -- the top half has no action and is distracting |

Wow, that's a cool shot. It's cool how the wave comes up in just that one little sopt and no where else. The water is well captured, good timing on the shot. |

I don't usually like comments or give them, but since candids are near and dear to my heart, I have decided to comment on every photo in this challenge.
I think this would have been better with a b/w or sepia added. The sky is a bit flat, but the wave hitting the boy is interesting for a capture. Kind of far away, and can't really see the emotion though. One has to imagine it more then see it. Still a good 5 photo for me though. |
