Model is a good friend of my wife, not really used to modeling but she was perfect for this photoshoot and did really well in my opinion, tall and blonde and not really unsimilar to Uma Thurman. Her name is Kristjana.

Lit with 2 lights, one from above with a 100x100 softbox and another smaller softbox lighting her from behind, giving some hairlight. Totally agree with the comment that said I needed more glare on the sword but in those shots her expression wasn´t as fierce so this was my choice.

great idea .... I like that it "contains" yellow rather than wreaks of yellow. i like the windy hair too - nice touch. It has potential for a rare 10 ftom me but I just can't FEEL the vengeance enough ... all the same, great image: 8

Wow very nice. Would have loved to see more shine on the sword but otherwise perfect, IMO.

Love the creative re-creation done on this shot. The yellows are bold and vibrant and really pop off the page. The model's look as she wields the katana is very ferel and she looks dangerous regardless of the weapon she holds. Some of the blade gets lost in the background, I would have liked more light to illuminate the blade - it would have shown off more of the silver of the steel and let us see not just the sharpness of her stare but her blade as well. Also I think it would have improved the picture a tad more if the full extension of the blade was included in the photo - the top portion of the blade is cut off. Overall good 'execution' (sorry about the pun, just had too:-) ) and this is a job well done.
