 Detail from a globe of the Earth, made with various stone and mineral inlays. This section consists of abalone next to dark blue lapis. (West coast of Australia on this globe.) The horizontal and vertical lines are latitude and longitude, respectively. (North is to the left.) This angle seems to reveal an abstract seascape to me. I hope it makes your mind wander too.

Thank you, and no worries! It's a good composition, and had I made it with some better technical equipment, could easily have scored better. (I would like to have gotten some better DOF, especially in the corners.) Thanks for the support - I'm quite happy with this in the 85th percentile!

Definitely got robbed on this one. Expected this to be in the top % at least. Its an excellent image so don't get discouraged.
