 this is the New York Ave. bus station building in DC, now converted to an office building. it is a famous art deco building.

I waited and waited for the neon to come on but it didn't -- and I finally had to leave to get somewhere. Unfortunately this was the last night of the challenge (only had the idea this morning) so I couldn't come back.

This building is caddy corner to where I shot my 'Start Spreadin' the News' :) ..

I predict this picture will only do ok .. not amazing.

This is wonderfull-- I hope people took time to really look at this photo to see how great it is-- from sharpness to composition-- I cant see a flaw-- 10

Great shot. Well composed - I love the mixture of curves and straight lines plus the "New York" adds a feel of the 1940s (don't ask why). The only improvement I could suggest would be to crop the thin slice of background on the extreme left side.

The perspective does this pic wonders, did you shoot this from another building window? I think the color version wouldn't have had as much impact as this. The reflection in the window adds a whole bunch of charachter here. Originally a 9, but bumping to a 10 as I write.....

I like the composition and the tones are good. I think it's lacking a little contrast, however.
