not quite sure how you made this capture. it has a sense of energy to it, but not from any detectible panning.

[as a side note, you might want to be careful with that flash...that's a HUGE no-no in gymnastics.]

the flash is a bit harsh on this, but captures the action well

I do not see any motion panning here. if there was, the person in the background would be blurred.

This is an odd kind of motion shot. The blur seems to be... not from motion? I don't know. The mat is sharp, the gymnast is sharp, the girl in the background is relatively sharp, but there's this blur going on, rather randomly when I really look. Is that a filter?

Nice image and there's evidence that you did pan. But for better motion panning effect, don't use your flash. Using flash will freeze an instant and you will loose the separation of the subject from the motion-blurred background. In your image, you can see lots of sharp background from the flash.

Very nice, I can almost hear the 'thump' on the mat. Lovely colors, good composition and motion.

It would look cool if she were still in the air when the pic was taken.

more like nailed it. I like the fact we can see the concentration on her face.

You've captured the face in sharp focus, which I guess is the most important thing. I'm not sure about all the white highlight areas across the middle of the image though. Finally I would have tried to get a shot more from the front to see more of her expression - I appreciate you may have been asked not to though, especially if using flash.
