While I have to agree that you didn't meet the "singled out of a crowd" aspect of the challenge, I do understand "singled out" from a perspective that, perhaps, only we who are grandfathers can appreciate. I wish there had been a "Special Moments" challenge in which you could have entered this shot. Thanks for bringing a tear of joy to my eye. |

Nice shot but the sink in the foregound immediatly grabbed my attention. Sorry. A more purposed cropping would help this photo score higher. |

Nice shot, but I don't think it really meets the challenge for being singled out. I think that if there was more in the background and a shallower depth of field it would have met the challenge better |

Tender moment captured here, but no crowds depicted here to be singled-out from by minimal depth of field. |

I don't really see anything singled-out in this photograph. Anyways, hardly an interesting photograph to anyone outside of your family. |

Single-out a person in a crowd as your source of composition... Where's the crowd. Where's the shallow depth of field? |

The challenge asked for a person to be singled out in a crowd using shallow depth of field. This is a lovely shot though. |

Challenge details: ".....single-out a person in a crowd as your source of composition. Use minimal depth-of-field to your advantage to help isolate your subject....."
Let's pretend for a moment that 2 is a crowd, then you still don't have either of them singled out at all. |

This doesn't meet the challenge. 1 |
