 This was a hard challenge to choose an image from. Imagine a year's worth of photos narrowed to a single Best shot for 2005?

Again, I am trying something completely different here. I have never entered a BW image before and nor have I submitted a landscape photo. I am not quite sure how this image will do but i am hoping for the best. My only goal is to score above a 6 for this image. Whatever placement I get is irrelevant. I am trying to maintain a score of 6 in all challenges from this point on.

I have learned so much over the last 7 months that I have been a part of this wonderful community and i am looking forward to the next year when we can all grown and learn from each other.

Beautiful shot. Seems a little dark overall on my monitor and slightly darker on the righthand side than the left. Nice reflection.

Serenity at its best.....So calm and peaceful. I love the stillness of the reflection, as it looks like glass.....Just beautiful.

Lovely black and whit tones. Like how the white oval draws creates an area of interest and brings the eye in to it. Is there a bird flying across the water?

looks like a scene from a fairy tale book. I expect a water nymph to come out and splash around at any second. I see a flying bird but can't pull enough detail out of it to see it well.

I'm not sure if it's an illusion due to image composition or the actual case, but this image feels like it's leaning towards the right quite a bit. I also find it a bit funny that you entitled your image "Serenity" and typed it in ALL CAPITALS, as if you are shouting the title out.

I can not hear the word serenity anymore without hearing George Costanza screaming "serenity now!" inside my own head.

Nice shot, composed really well of a beautiful scene. I think the 640 pixel size might hurt you in this challenge as there is so much to see with so little space. Good luck.
