 This old tree stump had such a wonderful root system showing with this tiny little tree grow between them.

Used PSP9 to post process the shot.

I think this is just incredible. New growth, beside the old growth.....The texture of the bark, contrasts well against the tiny green new plant.

Just not enough focus on the growing plant, IMO.. it seems to get lost in the over-all presentation.

I like the eye is immediatly drawn to the small shrub. Seems like selective desaturation.
