This took a total of about ummm..... 5 seconds. I'll prolly get the score I deserve for the time I spent. Its a knock-off of an ad I saw in rolling stone a long time ago.

Interesting! For me, it may have had a little more impact if it weren't quite so dead-center. I really prefer the look of the rule of thirds composition. . .but this is really sriking anyway. I love it. Good luck!

Ahh, workboots. At first this just looks like a nicely-done photo of a pair of boots sitting on pavement, but the more I think about it the more I like what it says (in keeping with your title). I've never lived in a house where at least one person didn't wear work boots every day -- a very different kind of life from the one where work shoes are meticulously shined. :) Nice capture, pardon my rambling.

I'd do some burn on the shoes and crop out to the right so they are less centered. I like the DOF and the whole idea is a good one.
