Congrats! You are my first critique club effort. Hope I can give you something worthwhile.
First impression: I'm first grabbed by the white part of the bulb and then spurred by the title to turn my attention to the filament.
Composition: You have done a good job of composing the shot, especially the way that the circle shape is repeated(your fingers, the bulb, the filter). I like your cropping choice.
Lighting: The lighting was likely tough to control but you have done a good job with it. My only critical comment is that I wish the filament could have popped a little more. I'm not sure what would have accomplished this but I feel it would have strengthened the image. I do love the way the light highlites the inside of the filter and the edges of your hand. This too me is the strongest part of the image.
Post Processing: This may be inaccurate, but it appears that you thought out your shot very well prior to shutter release which means that PP was minimal. (I haven't seen your picture details). Colors look good, sharpness is good.
Challenge interp: Very subjective, subjects were all over the board and this is where you may have fallen some in the view of the voters. Some of the pics, especially the top 10 were very vivid with their colors. Its hard to figure the voters out :). But I do agree with the other commenters, this is original and different. For that I say kudos.
P.S. I'd love to get some feedback on this critique. HOpe it gave you something to toss around in your mind.

These can be difficult shots... I tried a couple and kept blowing out portions. It is crisp and well focused. Well exposed. I particularly like the filament. |

Nicely done. I like the originality and especially that you thought of it (one would think) and put it together nicely. It's nice that photographers can compose a picture in their head and capture it still instead of seeing something someone else has done and claim it as their own.
OK, I'm rambling. Great job! |

Interesting take on this chalenge. I like the highlighted skin of the hand holding the green filter. Well done that you did not lose detail in the bright areas. |

Very, very clever, and it took me awhile to work this one out..... I like this a lot. The backlighting from your hand and fingers which is holding a lens is excellent, which of course is coming from the bulb. Super job, and I hope you are in the top ten, or even a ribbon maybe..... |
